Girish Mattennavar is a former Police Sub-Inspector turned social activist and political leader with over 25 years of experience in public service. Known for his fearless stand against corruption and commitment to truth, he has led multiple grassroots movements, supported farmers, and served society during critical times including natural disasters and the COVID-19 crisis.

2001 – Joined Karnataka State Police

Began his career as a Police Sub-Inspector, earning recognition, medals, and respect for his dedication and service.

2004 – Resigned from Police Service

Took a bold stand against corruption and political interference, resigning on principles and becoming a voice against injustice.

2004 – Joined Bharatiya Janata Party

Started his political journey with BJP, actively contributing as a campaigner and grassroots leader.

2007 – BJP Yuva Morcha State President

Led youth leadership initiatives across Karnataka, strengthening party presence and engaging young leaders.

2008 Chairman, Shree Kantheerava, Karnataka Film Industries

2010 – Chairman (CADA)

Served as Chairman of Command Area Development Authority with cabinet rank, contributing to irrigation and farmer welfare initiatives.

2013 – Contested Assembly Election

Contested as BJP MLA candidate from Gurumathakal constituency, representing people’s issues and grassroots concerns.

2020–2021 – COVID Crisis Leadership

Led major relief operations including hospital coordination, oxygen supply, food distribution, and frontline crisis management.

2023 – Justice for Soujanya Movement

Actively leading the movement demanding justice, accountability, and legal action in the Soujanya case.
